Black and white frame of the couple dancing on a plaza under string lights, with guests around them

An unhurried day, honestly told.

Documentary wedding photography on digital and film, for couples who want to be present and really enjoy the day.

I have narrated the room since I was five years old, and I still do, now with a camera. I'm always in awe that I get to capture the important moments of a bigger story.

Telling the truth, as beautifully as I can.

Connect

I spend more of your wedding day with you than almost anyone, so our call is for getting to know you. On the day I direct with clarity and respect, we move quickly, and couples say my presence was part of what they loved.

Plan

A proposal, a contract and a link for the retainer follow. Then we build the timeline together, over the phone, coffee or a good meal.

Document

I stay beside you, unhurried, for seven to nine hours. A sneak peek gallery reaches you within two days, and the full gallery in six to eight weeks.

Questions

How many photographs will I receive?

At least 650 for a wedding. For an engagement or bridal session, a minimum of 75.

How does payment work?

Once we have a date, I build your collection and send an online proposal and contract. A 25 percent retainer holds your date. The rest is split into two equal payments, due in total one month before the wedding.

What if we need to cancel or reschedule?

After the retainer is paid, it is non-refundable, and a new date needs a new retainer. I plan my year around the dates I hold, and I'm grateful for your understanding.

Can we add film?

Yes. Film for the whole wedding is $1,000, with at least 125 scans, while my second photographer works on digital. For an engagement or bridal session, film is $200, with at least 25 scans.

How do travel fees work?

I travel widely: across California, Texas, Jackson Hole, Lake Tahoe, Nashville and New York, and to Mexico, Canada and Italy, including Lake Como. We build a custom travel plan together. You cover airfare, a rental car and lodging for my second photographer and me, along with our meals and coffee on the days we travel.

For planners

Planners, I'm easy to work with. I follow your timeline, share a shot list with you ahead of time, stay out of the way, and deliver on time.
